Feel Good Friday: Teddy Bear Toast

Teddy Bear Toast!

Feel Good Friday is a regular series to give you a smile, a chuckle, or a nugget of wisdom to get your weekend off on the right foot!

Teddy Bear Toast!

Watch out, folks. I saved up about a month’s worth of creativity to make my son Teddy Bear Toast. This is about as impressive as it gets for me! (The Very Hungry Caterpillar Birthday Party notwithstanding.)

Sure, all I did was toast some bread, spread on some peanut butter, and carefully position some banana slices and blueberries.

But you know what? My toddler wouldn’t know the difference between this and a culinary, crafty masterpiece. All that matters is that it made him giggle all the way through breakfast. Tweet this!

Mission accomplished!

  1. Last night I made a ramp for monster trucks and a created a series of challenges (with prizes) for Susanna’s cousins who are visiting now.

Creativity seems to be part resourcefulness. Fortunately we’re sharing this visit with their Mom who is a fellow teacher, fellow Navy brat, and fellow woman who married a military officer.

Needless to say, Aunt Jessica gets it, and it’s been wonderful to be together with our Sunshine crew.

  2. Super cute! My oldest is allergic to peanuts but I’m sure I could find a substitute to make this. The last creative thing I made for my kids breakfast? Hmmm…I’ll have to get back to you on that one. 😉 My five-year-old and I made brownies together last week! Not so creative, but he loves to help bake.

  3. Well you got me BEAT!!!! LOLOL I don’t remember doing ANYTHING creative with my kids when they were little- with food anyway!!! SO adorable Katie!! And the toast was pretty cute too! 😉

  4. OMG cute. And so, so doable. Awesome. I don’t do too much creative stuff, but I do try to say “yes” as much as possible to requests for playing crazy invented games outside or reading MORE stories, even when I don’t really feel like it.
